Cartoon Features Produced by Oakley Home Pictures

The Internet Cartoons Forum was the first web site produced by Oakley Home Pictures, and it remains a popular site on the Web today. Originally a members/subscription site, it is now open to all and is advertiser supported. Launched in August 1996, the "ICF" was a daily updated news, links and discussion forum for the emerging experimental cartoonists who were self-publishing their work on the World Wide Web. Peter Oakley designed and built the forum following a six-year contract at America Online as host of their Cartooning special interest group. For the new Internet Cartoons Forum, Peter contracted with other cartoonists to provide original cartoon features, and enlisted writers to produce short news stories and site reviews. New content was delivered to members via an email newsletter titled The Weekly Chooker. As online host for the forum, Peter entertained visitors in lively conversation and special guest interviews at "The Cartoon Bar", a Palace graphical chat site.

Though no longer regularly updated, the Internet Cartoons Forum still entertains several thousand visitors each month. Enjoy these online cartoon features, produced by Oakley Home Pictures. Cartoons by Kevin Brockschmidt, Daryl Cagle, Daniel Ethridge, George Jartos, Al Kratzer, and Peter Oakley.
